A highly trained and experienced Leadership, Life, Trauma & Group Coach,

facilitating people’s triumph over challenge and change since 2006.

To me there is no doubt... I do actually have the best job in the world.  I get to witness people shed their external expectations and thought barriers, change their perspectives, uncover their truth and find their solutions in order to become happier, more successful, more resilient.  Having coached hundreds of people, I never tire of the process, it’s different for every person and for every session. When working, I am totally focused and immersed on what the individual is saying (and what they are not saying!) and am always ready to reflect back, offer a challenge, or ask that pivotal question, so the time really does fly by.

Why am I so passionate about coaching?  Coaching is all-encompassing and allows change in all areas of people’s lives including boosting leadership skills, kicking unhelpful habits, deciding on career changes, adjusting to parenting, coping with trauma or stress, building strengths, starting dating, defining purpose, making decisions: we’re talking any area of personal and professional development.  We have more control over our lives, responses and choices than we often realise and that premise is the real power behind coaching.

My coaching quality stamp - I have a wealth of experience offering 1:1 coaching to individuals of all ages and executive coaching through the highly successful leadership development organisation BetterUp.  At the time of recruitment, BetterUp had a strict application process and only employed the top 8% of the coaches they interviewed. I have also run hundreds of group coaching workshops all over the UK for my Effective Thoughts business as well as external organisations such as BetterUp, Fitfarms and Platinum Healing.  I am also an Associate Coach with MindBeat.

My background -  In the corporate IT world in my Senior Analyst Programmer and Project Manager role, I became aware that it was the people development aspect of the job that really fascinated me.  I researched coaching, completed my 1 year Accredited post-graduate course, and spent the following year offering free coaching to anyone and everyone in order to build up my experience.  I value that investment of time, it made me a better coach. I still have the vocational drive to keep learning about all things coaching related. I spend as much time reading, attending courses, listening to podcasts, participating in forums, being co-coached, and in fact indulging in any learning, as I can get away with.

My life - I am a Complex PTSD survivor with a lived experience of healing my own trauma.  Based in Worthing, West Sussex my typical day is best described as 'varied'. When not coaching people worldwide, I am running my business, caring for my children or walking the dog.  I have a passion for community work, being out in nature, having fun with friends and keeping fit.
